Holistic Back Pain Therapy : Holistic Neck Pain Exercise: Lying Down

Why is it that most back pain solutions focus on weight? There’s no back therapy that can offer permanent relief if the person continues to be overweight. Remaining over weight and opting for back pain solutions is like trying to drive your car with the emergency breaks set, it won’t go anywhere. Sooner rather than later, you will end up with the same problems as you had before. Why is this?

When you are overweight, you are putting your spine under a lot of stress. Forget that the human body is a living organism and focus on it as the structure alone. The skeleton bears your weight. The spine serves as the foundation for the entire upper body. These ends in the hop bone which then transfers weight to your knees and legs. The hips give you mobility and the ability to twist your body. This spine acts as the pivot for all these activities. If you are going to put a lot of pressure on the spine, the amount of wear and tear is obviously going to be higher than normal. Once back pain starts, you will find that you have to undergo a lot of back therapy before you get rid of it completely.

Any excess fat you have in your body is going to put 360 degrees of pressure on the spine. If you have excess fat in the stomach, it’s pushing out the spine. Neck, face, and back excess fat will put a lot of strain on your lower back. Now you see why any back pain solutions will insist you improve on your overall health and fitness level.

Just because you end up over weight you won’t stop living, right? You still drive a car, walk up stairs, shovel snow in the winter, and still carry out daily activities. So what happens when your weight on your spine is hard to manage? You’ll find out that you will need back therapy to continue doing everyday activities.

Do not think that you can put on weight once you have completed back therapy and have overcome the problem. To gain weight, suffer back problems, lose weight and then to gain weight again is going to lead to permanent problems. The curvature of the spine is delicate and all it takes is a single jerk to throw the disc out of sync.

This will require you to have surgery to push the disc back in place and that will provide a little relief from the pain, although, until you become active you won’t find a permanent back pain solution. As we all grow older, our bones are going to get weaker and this will mean we will be even more at risk for back problems caused by being overweight.
