Here are a few tips to help you ease your back pain.

Put ice or heat on your back. If you have problems with any back pain, within the first 48 hours of it use ice. Take an ice pack and set it on your back for 10 minutes, remove for 10, then place back on back 2 more times. After 48 hours do the same if pain is still present, but intersperse the ice with heat for 10 minutes and finish with 10 minutes of heat. Pain will go away dramatically if you do this.

Stretch your body and back to relieve tension. The biggest reasons that some people have back pain is tight muscles. Stretching is a great way to ease their tension. Stretch it as gently as you can. Being aggressive in your stretches will not ease muscle tension. You should only stretch to the point where your muscle feels tight not painful. If you stretch the muscles too far, it will tight up immediately after you stop the stretch. Gently is really the key here!

Strengthen the muscles in your back. You are going to find a weak muscle opposite of a tight one. If you stretch only the tight muscles, it will not create balance. You are going to have to improve the nerve and blood supply to the weak muscles.

The last thing you should do now is to get a chiropractor or find a holistic cure for it. Since in home treatment of back pain is easy and cheap, why not try that route.
